Meet the Man Behind the Badge
At 17, Rich's mother had to sign for him to enlist in the U.S. Coast Guard. That's how committed he was from the start. While serving, he also trained as a Paramedic, learning to make life-or-death decisions under extreme pressure.
He has served more than 33 years in law enforcement in New York City, Colorado and Florida, as a Crisis Negotiations Team Leader and with 24 years in criminal investigations, focused on Violent Crimes, Homicide and Sexual Assault. As a Field Training Officer, he shaped the next generation of officers and detectives. In Colorado, his fellow officers elected him President of the Fraternal Order of Police, a position he held for 3 years.
40 years of service. What Rich teaches, he lived.
