Patrick Ness

Career

Patrick Ness has spent nearly 40 years working violent crime. He began with the New Mexico State Police in 1987 and served 23 years as a Violent Crimes Detective, working the Cold Case Homicide Unit and the Metro Officer-Involved Shooting Team.

Today he serves as a Master Detective with the Commerce City Police Department in the Denver metro area, where he continues to work violent crimes and homicide.

He has consulted on homicide cases for agencies across New Mexico and Colorado, including the FBI and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.

Few investigators carry the courtroom credentials Patrick does. He is POST certified and a recognized bloodstain analysis expert in Colorado's 17th Judicial District Court.

Teaching Background

Patrick's teaching career runs just as deep as his casework.
